Julian Alan Sautelet, 68, of Decatur, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, July 23, 2026.
He was born October 26, 1957, in Decatur, IL to Jules Auguste and Judith Ann (Karch) Sautelet. Julian proudly served in the United States Navy. He married Carmen Schmidt in April 1984. She passed away in 1984.
He is survived by his two children, Jules Gregory Sautelet of Holbrook, MA and Jessica (Brandon) Smith of Palm Bay, FL; two grandchildren, Carmen and Eli Sautelet of Holbrook, MA; his mother, Judith Sautelet of Maroa; two brothers, Jeffrey Sautelet of Maroa and Jonathan (Michelle) Sautelet of Golconda, IL; his aunt, Rosalie Shake of Taylorville, IL; and his uncle, Donald Karch of Manchester, MO.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jules Auguste Sautelet and his brother, Jules Anthony Sautelet.
Graveside services to celebrate the life of Julian will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 21, 2026 at Mt. Zion Township Cemetery, Mt. Zion. Memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army of Decatur and Macon County, 229 West Main Street, Decatur, IL 62523.
