Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M., Saturday, October 9, 2010, at Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, will be handling the arrangements.Memorials may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Association or Promiseland Ministries of Warrensburg, IL.Julia was born March 26, 1914 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of William and Celia (Lincoln) Sawyer. She married Robert L. Dodwell in 1939 in Decatur, IL.Julia resided in Florida for 30 years where she was involved in many clubs and theaters and a member of Hope Presbyterian Church in Winter Haven, FL. She was a lifetime school teacher, mostly in the Warrensburg area. Julia was a member of Promiseland Ministries of Warrensburg, IL and Order of the Eastern Star.She is survived by her children Diana C. Buttrum and husband Morris of Decatur, IL, Linda L. Wilson of Collinsville, IL; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; nephew David Lancaster of California.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Richard Hathaway, two sisters, and one brother.The family would like to express sincere thanks to the caregivers at Heartland Health Care Center for all their kindness and loving care given to Julia. "
