Juetta E. Hiser passed away Friday, September 26, 2014 at the Hickory Point Christian Village in Forsyth, IL surrounded by her family. Graveside services will be held on Monday, Sept. 29, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Friends Creek Cemetery in Argenta, IL for family and friends, with visitation at 12:30 P.M., for family only, at the Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association. Juetta was born on February 26, 1917 to Roy and Opal Schroll in Forsyth, IL. She was a graduate of Stephen Decatur High School. On December 12, 1937 she married Gerald Homer Hiser and enjoyed 76 years of marriage. They purchased a farm outside of Cisco, IL shortly after their marriage, and farmed for 40 years. After retiring from farming they moved to Monticello, IL where they lived for 17 years, finally moving to Hickory Point Christian Village 6 years ago. Juetta loved to travel; wintering in Lake Wales, FL; traveling to Alaska, Australia, Mexico and several states. She also loved knitting, playing the organ and playing bridge with her friends. Most of all Juetta loved her family. Juetta leaves behind to cherish her memories: her husband Gerald, her son Loren (Melinda) of Oreana, IL; two granddaughters; Tami Hiser of Decatur, IL and Nancy (Michael) Eller of Oreana, IL. Her great grandchildren Gage and Madyson Eller. She also leaves two sisters Lorraine Osborne of Decatur, IL and Mildred Stephenson of Forsyth, IL, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. She also leaves behind her precious pet, Missy. Everyone that knew Juetta couldn't help but love her. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt. She lived a full life and will be greatly missed. Her family would like to thank everyone at Hickory Point Christian Village for the loving care she received.
