Judy Lock

Judy A. Lock, 70, of Decatur passed away November 4, 2016 at Symphony of Decatur.Judy was born November 25, 1945 in Mattoon, IL, the daughter of Lester H. and Betty (Parsons) Brady. Judy was a stay at home mom until her boys started school. She volunteered at school and was a past president of Oak Grove School PTA. She went back to school to get her degree to become a teaching assistant. She worked at Harris School in Special Education and later at Stevenson School and retired from there as librarian. One of her joys was working with kids.Judy was a member of Sts. James and Patrick Parrish and was also a member of the Decatur Garden Club. She enjoyed planting and taking care of her flowers.She is survived by her husband, Dale; sons Gary (Lynn) of Charlotte, NC and Greg (Rheem) of Elgin, IL; grandchildren, Olivia, Evalyn and Spencer.She was preceded in death by her parents, a half brother and half sister.Services to honor Judy’s life will be held Wednesday, November 9 at 3:00 PM in Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home Decatur, with visitation from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. Private family burial will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to DMH Hospice. "
