Judith A. Rynders, 82, of Decatur, formerly of Blue Mound, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2024 surrounded by her family.
Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hall Cemetery, Blue Mound.
Judy was born June 14, 1942 in Decatur, the daughter of Paul Jarvis and Selma Magdalena (Rahn) Snell. She married Frans Rynders on December 27, 1970 in Decatur. Judy worked in advertising for the Herald and Review for 15 years. She enjoyed quilting and sewing, and truly loved time spent with her family. She was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church and later St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Decatur.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Frans Rynders of Decatur, daughter Nieke Rynders-Taylor (Lisa) of Gilroy, CA; grandchildren: Annaliese Taylor and Marianna Taylor; niece, Michelle (Phil) Crawford; great-nephew, Jonathan Crawford; sister-in-law, Barbara Snell and son-in-law, Steven Taylor.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Snell.
