MACON - Judith Ann Rasche, 80, of Macon, Illinois passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at St. Mary's Hospital. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 26 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, 2827 N. Oakland Avenue, Decatur. A service to celebrate Judy's life will be held at Decatur First United Methodist Church, 201 W. North Street on Monday, May 27 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation an hour before. Judy will be laid to rest in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur. Memorial contributions may be directed to Decatur First United Methodist Church. Judy was born May 4, 1939 in Elvins, Missouri, the daughter of Reuben and Gladys (Fitzgerald) Rodgers. She was a graduate of Elvins, Missouri High School and completed one year at Flat River Junior College before she was married to John F. Rasche on June 6, 1958 in Elvins, Missouri. They moved to Decatur for three weeks before John started active duty in the Army. She and John lived near Ft. Belvoir, Virginia and Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri for the first six months of their marriage. They returned to Decatur in January 1959 and have been active members of Decatur First United Methodist Church since that time. She served on various church boards, was active in United Methodist Women, worked in the MAX program, sang in the choir and played in the hand bell ensemble. She enjoyed reading books, sewing, tent camping with her family and travel. Judy was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Judy is survived by her husband and three children: Jeffrey Alan (Shelly) Rasche of Camp Point, Illinois, Kay Ellen (Oziel) Villarreal of Decatur and David William (Lisa) Rasche of Decatur; 9 grandchildren: Ben (Keeli) Rasche, Zach (Kristen) Rasche, Nick Rasche, Jessica (Anthony) Nedland, Aaron Villarreal, Emily Villarreal, Katie (Justin) Jostes, Sarah Rasche, and Jonathan (Beth) Rasche; 8 great grandchildren: Emma Rasche, Aliza & Anzley Rasche, Cooper, Lalie and Ollie Jostes, Amiyah & Alayna Harper; half brother, Jon Reuben (Andrea) Rodgers of Park Hills, Missouri, brother-in-law Gale Marler of Park Hills, Missouri, brother-in-law George (Joy) Rasche of Fayette, Missouri and sister-in-law Kathy (Gary) Linke of Bridgeton, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother, Margaret Rodgers and sister, Sandra Marler. "
