Juanita Trimmer, 72, of Decatur, IL, went to see her Lord after a 7 1/2 year fight with bone cancer on August 17, 2013. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL, with visitation from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 21, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to Cancer Care Specialists of Central IL. Juanita was born July 26, 1941 in Arkansas, the daughter of Robert and Nettie (Baxley) Roper. She married Jerry Trimmer on September 26, 1971 in Decatur, IL. Juanita was a member of 1st Congregational United Church of Christ. She worked for Steak n Shake, then at Caterpillar for 10 - 12 years in the cafeteria, and later returned to work for Steak n Shake. Juanita enjoyed going to Hannibal, MO to watch the barges and loved going to rummage sales. She especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren. Juanita is survived by her husband of 41 years, Jerry; daughter Lisa Daley of Elm Grove, LA; sons Mark (Susan) Daley of Oreana, IL, Mickey (Christina) Trimmer of Decatur; grandchildren Amanda (Taylor) Smith of Colorado Springs, CO, Chelsea Walston of Waterford, TX, Valen Walston of Elm Grove, LA, Jillian Daley of Oreana, Mitchell Daley of Oreana; and great grandson Kayden James Smith of Colorado Springs, CO. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents. "
