Joyce Smart, 88, of Argenta, died Thursday, March 3, 2016.Following Joyce’s wishes, there will be no services. Cremation rites will be accorded. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home is assisting the family.Joyce was born December 5, 1927, in Decatur, the daughter of George Larkin and Estelle (Copas) Carnahan. She married Luther H. “Red” Smart in Decatur on June 14, 1947. He preceded her in death. Joyce was a member of West Main Church of God. She enjoyed camping, playing bingo, and scratch offs.Joyce is survived by her children, Gary Smart and wife Penny of Argenta and Brenda Smart of Ohio; granddaughters, Lisa Jozsa of Decatur, Roxie Myers and husband Denny of Decatur, Kim Belcher and husband Jeff of Argenta, and Casey Smart of Decatur; grandson Tyler Smart of Ohio; siblings Jean Taylor of Fort Worth, TX, Jim Carnahan and wife Dot of Boody, Joe Carnahan and wife Georgeann of Decatur, Roger Carnahan and wife Norma of Camden, TN; 9 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 61 years, son Terry, daughter Linda, grandson Eric, brothers Claude, Wayne and Jack, sister LaVern McClure, and brother-in-law Otis Taylor.Joyce loved to camp and is now camping with dad. We love and miss you dearly. "
