Joyce Hartley

Joyce E. Hartley, 66, of Decatur passed away Sunday, June 18 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, June 26 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 25 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Decatur. Joyce was born December 31, 1950 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Richard Elmer and Elta Burneita (Gentry) Doddek. She married Halden J. Hartley on October 4, 1968 in Decatur. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Decatur, IL and was completely devoted to her religion and loved sharing it with others. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Halden; mother, Burneita Doddek of Decatur; sister, Bonnie Pflaum of Kissimmee, FL; brother, David Doddek of Germantown Hills, IL and several nieces and nephews in Florida, Reno, NV. and Brandywine, MD.Joyce was preceded in death by her father; half brother, Johnny Holmes and her grandparents.
