Joyce Harding

Joyce E. (Knight) Harding, 78, of Decatur, IL passed away on March 20, 2016 at Imboden Creek. Funeral liturgy will be on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 11:30 AM at the Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur, IL, with visitation at the funeral home from 10:30 AM until service time. Burial will at the Macon County Memorial Park in Harristown, IL. Memorials may be made to the Holy Family Catholic Church. Joyce was born on February 26, 1938 in Decatur, IL the daughter of Rayburn and Geraldine Bernice Fitzgerald Knight. She married Paul H. Harding on June 6, 1961 and he preceded her in death on July 26, 2011. Joyce was a homemaker and a librarian for the Evans Branch of the Decatur Public Library for several years, and she enjoyed reading to school children. She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church. She was a beloved mother of her seven children: Paulette, of Elgin, IL; Patricia, of Mt. Zion, IL; Pamela (James) Burress, of Bloomington, IL; John, of Chicago, IL; Kathryn (Shane) Maple, Jason (Julie), and Jerold, all of Decatur, IL. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; Joseph, Jerry, Angel, Hailey, Sara, Jacob, and Kristina, along with one brother, Robert Knight, of Mt. Zion, IL. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister, Geraldine Joanne Knight. "
