Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, at the funeral home. Burial will be in North Fork Cemetery, Decatur.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Marys Foundation. Joyce was born on April 7, 1930, in Decatur, Ill., the daughter of Michael Henry and Ester Babe Ruth (Herman) Semelka. She married Dean Eaton on July 10, 1982, in Decatur at their home. Joyce lovingly sewed her own wedding dress. Joyce was a homemaker. She previously was the activity director for what is now known as Aspen Ridge Healthcare Center. Joyce was a wonderful musician. She enjoyed singing at church and playing the accordion. She was recognized in the Decatur Herald and Review newspaper for her holiday decorating; her favorite was Halloween. Joyce also enjoyed flower arranging.Surviving are her husband of 27 years, Dean of Decatur.; sons Donn Michael Jackson and wife Eileen of Phoenix, AZ, and Mark William Jackson of Decatur, IL; sister Avis (Joe) Fischer of Cloverdale, IN; grandchildren Michael (Dora) Jackson of Phoenix, AZ, and Sean Jackson of Los Angeles, CA; great-grandchildren Ashley Jackson and Houston Jackson, both of Phoenix, AZ; and sister-in-law Rose Eaton of Decatur, IL.Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Yvonne, and one daughter at childbirth. "
