Joyce Disney

Joyce E. (Bentz) Disney, 80, of Decatur, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at McKinley Court Care Center. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 23, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Friday, March 22, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Memorials may be made to DMH Hospice. Joyce was born July 4, 1932, in Decatur, the daughter of Arthur and Opal Stella (Henderson) Bentz. She married Charles Walter Disney in Decatur on February 16, 1952. Joyce was the very first person to receive a diploma from Lakeview High School. She enjoyed drawing, quilting, sewing, singing, and was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Taylorville. She is survived by her husband Charles of Decatur; son Stephen Disney and wife Robin of Wood River, IL; daughter Cynthia Hagler and husband Bill of Demorest, GA; son Robert Disney and wife Barbara of Pana, IL; brother Jerry Bentz and wife Marilynn of Ohio; sister Arlene Snyder of California; brother Alan Bentz and wife Linda of Decatur; eight grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents. The family would like to give special thanks to "her Barbies". "
