Joyce Elaine Bradshaw, 87, of Decatur, passed away peacefully on hospice at her daughter's home on November 2, 2024
Family graveside service will be 2:30 PM, Monday, November 4, 2024 at Mt. Gilead Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes, Decatur, is assisting the family.
Joyce was born August 3, 1937, the daughter of Carl Wakefield and Ruth Gibson. She married her wonderful husband, Martin Bradshaw on August 12, 1953 in Champaign, and they were married for 56 years until his death in 2009.That union gave them a son, Martin Bradshaw, Jr. and daughter, Debra Bradshaw Peterson. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was affectionately known as “Maw” to all of her grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughter, Debra (Tim) Peterson; daughter-in-law, Susan; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild on the way; two sisters; and three brothers.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Martin; son, Martin Bradshaw, Jr; sister; brother; and three great grandchildren.
A very special thanks to her son-in-law, Tim Peterson for all of his good care.
