Joseph Mudd

Joseph A. Mudd, 80, of Oakley, IL, passed away on February 16, 2024.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Jasper Street Church of Christ in Decatur, IL. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Thompson officiating. A Graveside service will follow at Macon County Memorial Park in Harristown, IL. Memorials in Joe’s honor may be made to the Jasper Street Church of Christ, 950 N Jasper St, Decatur, IL 62521.

Joe was born in Macon County, IL to Joseph N. Mudd and Grace O. (Huff) Mudd on July 15, 1943. Joe retired from ADM after 45 years of hard work and dedication.

He is survived by his brothers; Raymond Mudd and Larry F. Mudd I (Janice); along with his 4 nieces and nephews: Tina Blacker (Jeff), Tanya Mudd, Larry F. Mudd II (Elizabeth), and Annemarie Mudd Duncan (Cody); and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Joe was an active and faithful member of the Jasper Street Church of Christ for many years. Joe loved and was loved by his family and they enjoyed spending time with him. He will be truly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers: James "Jim" Mudd and Gary Mudd.
