Joseph Edward Patrick Campbell, 36, of Decatur, IL, went to be with our Lord in Heaven on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Decatur Memorial Hospital. The visitation for Joseph will be on Sunday, February, 18, 2018 from noon to 3:00pm at the Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur, IL with a funeral service to follow at 3:00pm. Joseph’s graveside service will be in Graceland Cemetery at 10:00am on Monday, February 19, 2018.Memorials may be sent to Victory Junction; 4500 Adam’s Way; Randleman, NC 27317.Joseph was born on August 9, 1981, in Chattanooga, TN, the son of Stephen P. and Connie D. (Norton) Campbell. He was a huge NASCAR fan. He was the best unofficial Chevrolet car salesman. Joseph had a large heart to serve others.He was a member of Maranatha Assembly of God in Decatur, where he helped pastors Ron, Doug and Rosemary in any way he could. His favorite role was being a chauffeur to anyone who needed him. He assisted at every church he attended wherever he travelled.Joseph is survived by his parents, Connie (Randy) Parson of Decatur, IL; Stephen P. (Karmel) Campbell of Double Springs, AL; step-sister, Savannah Crumley of Tuscaloosa, AL; and special nephew, Ashton Campbell of Locust Fork, AL. Also surviving are loving aunts Wilda (Earl) Hinely of Prairie Grove, AR; Patricia (Franz) Christensen of Port St. Lucie, FL; uncles, John (Laurie) Campbell of North Kingston, RI; Rev. Dr. David (Patti) Metzger of Rockton, IL; special cousin, Jason (Kelley) Hinely of Prairie Grove, AR, and special friend, (grandpa) Pastor Ron Howerton; along with numerous nieces and nephews and other family members.Joseph is preceded in death by his brother, Walter “Justin” Norton Campbell, grandparents, Walter & Gertrude Campbell, John (Betty) Norton, and grandmother, Willie Lou Norton.The family would like to extend their appreciation to the wonderful Decatur Memorial Hospital Intensive Care Unit doctors, nurses and staff for their incredible care given to Joseph and his family. "
