Jorden Austin

Jorden Patricia Austin, 20, of Hammond, IL, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Brintlinger and Earl Cerro Gordo Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, March 25, at Brintlinger and Earl Cerro Gordo Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to 4-H Piatt County. Jorden was born May 25, 1992, in Johnstown, PA, the daughter of Richard and Renee (Giacobone) Austin. Jorden was a barn manager. She attended Richland Community College, majoring in Science, and aspired to own and operate her own barn someday. She was also a dog groomer and was member of the Piatt County 4-H Club. Jorden was Trail Blazers Rodeo Queen of 2012. She enjoyed agility training with her Australian Shepherd "Dayci". Jorden loved showing her horse "Lolli" and won many ribbons. She loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Surviving are her parents Richard and Renee of Hammond; sister Rachel Austin, brothers John and Ryan Austin, all of Hammond; fiancé Lucas Barbee of Oakley, IL; grandparents John and Sharon Austin of Oxford, MI, Patricia Uicker of LaPlace, IL, Nancy Jakubowski of Warren, MI; and great-grandmother Flo Stefaniak of Shelby Township, MI. Jorden was preceded in death by her grandfathers Ed Uicker and Walter Jakubowski. "
