John P. Young, 66, of Forsyth, IL, died 4:26 A.M., Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, IL. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 16, 2011, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Decatur, IL, with visitation 6 to 8 P.M., Thursday, September 15, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Burial will be 1:00 P.M., Saturday, September 17, in Calvary Cemetery, Freeport, IL. Memorials may be made to Cancer Care Specialists of Central Illinois, S.C., 210 W. McKinley Ave., Suite 1, Decatur, IL 62526 or to CFC International. John was born January 3, 1945 in Freeport, IL, the son of Kenneth Wayne and Mary Josephine (Popkes) Young. He married Marsha Ann Miles on September 3, 1966 in Denver, Colorado. John was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He was Vice President of Illini Supply Inc in Forsyth, IL. John loved traveling, especially to Maui and the Lake of the Ozarks. He enjoyed boating and spending time with family and friends. John loved his grandchildren very much. He was also a member of S.A.S.S. (Single Action Shooting Society) and the Greater Decatur Chamber of Commerce. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marsha of Forsyth, IL; children Sara ElizabethYoung-Morrell and husband Seth of Chicago, IL, Jason Robert Young and wife Jennifer Lei (Willis) of Pleasant View, TN, Amy Kathleen LeFager and husband Jim of Lake Zurich, IL; grandchildren Madeline Paige Young, Blake Allan Young, Emma Kate Young, Oliver James LeFager; brother Robert Wayne Young of Tulare, CA; seven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, aunt Kate and uncle Ollie Richards. "
