John (Jack) McLaughlin, 66, of Monticello, died February 22, 2017, at his residence.Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Cerro Gordo, with visitation two hours prior to service time. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice of charities.Jack was born July 9, 1950, in Decatur, the son of Patrick G. and Mary (Arnold) McLaughlin. He was a lifetime farmer in Piatt County. Jack enjoyed model railroading and collected model trains. He is survived by his brothers, Michael (Elizabeth) of Cerro Gordo and Robert (Zita) of Seattle, WA; nephews, Brian, Mark, and Paul; and niece Terese.Jack was preceded in death by his parents "
