John Kaufman

John H. Kaufman, Jr., 74, of Harristown, died Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.Memorial service will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, June 16, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 1:00 until service time. Memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church.John was born November 30, 1943, in Decatur, the son of John H. and Hester Lynn (Booze) Kaufman, Sr. He married Sharon Sue Merriman in Harristown on February 9, 1974. John was a letter carrier in Decatur from 1968 - 1999. He enjoyed hunting and shooting, was a lifetime member of the NRA, and a member of Temple Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sue; daughters, Jennifer (Brad) Centola of Harristown and Angela (Charles) Atwater of Decatur; son, John Henry Kaufman, III “Hank” of Harristown; grandchildren, Jacey, Sierra, Bradley, Cody, Johnny IV, Aurelia, Mason and Colton. John was preceded in death by his parents. "
