John Wayne Gwin, 29, of Harristown, died Sunday, March 27, 2016, at his home.Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 1, at Camp Wilson Foursquare Church. Visitation will be 5-8 P.M. Thursday, March 31, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Burial will be in Harristown Cemetery.John was born December 22, 1986, in Decatur, the son of Brett and Tina (Ross) Gwin. He married Ashley Smith November 8, 2012, in Decatur. John worked for Jacobs Field Services Co. as a gradall driver at A.D.M. He enjoyed being a family man, driving his 4-wheeler, and hiking and camping with his family, especially at Little Egypt Off-Road Park in Marion, Illinois.John is survived by his wife, Ashley Gwin of Harristown; children, Evan Lee Gwin and Anna Marie Gwin, both at home; parents, Brett and Tina Gwin of Harristown; sisters, Tina Marie Scott (Spencer White) of Decatur and Mindy Mae (Matt) McCoy of Rantoul; maternal grandparents, Odell and Rose Marie Ross, Sr. of Harristown.
