John Thomas Davis Sr, 72, of Danville, IL, passed away on September 2, 2025.

A visitation will be held 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM Monday, September 8, 2025, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur, IL. Service will follow immediately after at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Camp Butler Cemetery in Springfield, IL.

John was born September 9, 1952, in Pana, IL, the son of Louis Edward and Marcella (Smith) Davis. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and then worked as a tire builder for Firestone.

He greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his siblings, James Davis and Sadoma Maulden, and many nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Louis Davis Jr. and Robert Davis.
