Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation from 9:00 - 10:30 A.M., prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery, Long Creek, IL. Memorials may be made to Long Creek United Methodist Church.John was born January 8, 1925, in Decatur, IL, the son of Oliver Davis and Mae (Bowers) Corman. He married Kathleen Coffman on May 29, 1947 at First Methodist Church in Assumption, IL. John was a lifelong member of Long Creek United Methodist Church. He farmed all of his life and enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, playing cards and bowling. John was a member of the Elks, Odd Fellows, and the Farm Bureau.John is survived by his sons Ron (Jeanie) Corman of Sandwich, IL, Thomas (Pamela) Corman of Decatur, IL; grandchildren Kevin (Lundee) Corman of Decatur, IL, Kamee (Roger) McCleskey of Sandwich, IL, Kurt (Tricia) Corman of Lake Zurich, IL, Kimberly (Bob) Hollis of Sheridan, IL; 10 great grandchildren; sisters Mary Wood of Champaign, IL, Doris (James) Smith of Britt, IA; companion Evelyn Hanneken of Mt. Zion.He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Kathleen, grandson Todd Douglas Corman, sisters Erma Devore and Lula Still.The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Fritz and the staff at Imboden Creek for their wonderful care. "
