John Paul Caudill, 83, of Decatur, IL, passed away Monday, December 12, 2016, at his residence.Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 15, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Harristown Cemetery, Harristown, IL. Memorials may be made to New Life Pregnancy Center.John was born December 7, 1933, in Lawton, KY, the son of James Albert and Mary Etta (Branaham) Caudill. He married Glenna Mae Bailey on August 27, 1956 in Olive Hill, KY. She preceded him in death on September 26, 2013.John worked for A.E. Staley for 29 years before retiring. He enjoyed bowling, playing bingo and pinochle, and especially spending time with his family. John was a faithful Christian. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.He is survived by his daughters Rena Thompson, and Linda (Jeff) Jump, all of Decatur; grandchildren Serenity (Josh) Kogel, Staci Howerton, Isaiah Bledsoe, Aaron Bledsoe, Alexis Bledsoe, Aubrey (Jonathon) Downing, Caleb (Heather) Jump, Jay (Patty) Jump, Jacob (Chelsea) Jump; 18 great grandchildren; sisters June (Kenneth) Anderson, Lou Foster, Betty Jo Hagman.He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers James, David, Willie, sister Olive, son John “Chuck” Charles Caudill, and granddaughter Monsheree.
