John Allen Berry, 67, of Decatur, IL, passed away Monday, April 22, 2019, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL. Graveside services will be 12:30 p.m., Friday, April 26, 2019, at Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, will be handling the arrangements. The family requests casual attire. John was born August 8, 1951, in Kankakee, IL, the son of William Burwell and Wilma June (Raymond) Berry. He was a U.S. Army veteran, was an avid bowler and loved watching the White Sox games. He is survived by his children Jennifer (Carlos) Lizana of Gulf Port, MS, A.J. (Kara) Berry of Decatur; 6 grandchildren; siblings Jeff (Stephanie) Berry of Bradley, Lori Devine of Bradley, Larry (Melissa) Berry of Cleveland, TN, Susan (Jeff) Siedentop of Thompson Station, TN; mother Judith Berry of Cleveland, TN; very special brother and sister Rick and Robin Yetter of Decatur, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jim, sister-in-law Martha, grandson Avery Mitchell, nephew Bryan Devine, stepdad George Meents.
