John W. Beery, 65, of Decatur, IL, passed away Friday, July 28, 2017.A visitation will be held from 5-7 pm, Tuesday, August 1, at East Park Baptist Church, Decatur. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, August 2, at Cerro Gordo Cemetery, Cerro Gordo, IL. Memorials may be made to East Park Baptist Church.John was born September 15, 1951, in Decatur, IL, son of Raymond Francis and Alma Florence (Smith) Beery. He married Julia Ann Dean December 6, 1975 in Hammond, IL. She preceded him in death.John was a founding member of the United Baptist Church and later attended East Park Baptist Church.Surviving are his children: Sherry Hyden and husband Dan of Roosevelt, NY, Michael Beery and wife Jenny of Decatur, IL, Stephanie Snyder and husband Jon of Portage, IN, Lisa Rauch and husband John of Decatur, IL. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren; brothers: David Beery and wife Sue of Decatur, IL and Philip Beery of West Milford, NJ; and sister-in-law: Cindy Beery of Long Creek, ILJohn was preceded in death by his parents, wife and brother Paul.
