Joanne Blickensderfer

Joanne Blickensderfer, 80, of Decatur, IL, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018, in her home. Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Cerro Gordo Cemetery. Joanne was born July 13, 1938, in Decatur, daughter of Herman and Marie (Stogsdill) Shinneman. She married George A. Blickensderfer April 30, 1955 in Monticello, IL. He preceded her in death. Joanne was a member of Cerro Gordo United Methodist Church. She worked in Human Resources for DeKalb Poultry until retirement and was an avid Cubs fan. Surviving are her children: Michael Blickensderfer of Englewood, NJ, Cinda Blickensderfer of Hemet, CA, and Becky Goleman (companion Charlie) of Divernon, IL. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Jerry Shinneman.
