Joan Buchen

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 22 at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 21 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lake Bank Cemetery, Latham, IL.Joan was born July 6, 1953, in Decatur, the daughter of Harry and Alta (Putnam) Roof. She married Robert Mike Buchen, Sr. on February 6, 1971, in Decatur.Joan worked for the State of Illinois as a mental health technician. Surviving are her husband of 38 years Mike of Decatur; children Harry Douglas Buchen of Robinson, IL, Robert M. Buchen, Jr. Tanya M. Buchen and Fred Wayne Buchen (Koren), all of Decatur. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and brothers William Skip Roof and Richard P. Roof, both of Decatur.Joan was preceded in death by her parents, brother Fred Roof, sister-in-law Beth Roof, and grandson Jordon. "
