Jo Ann Durchholz was a Born-Again Christian, and her faith could not be swayed. She would share her faith with anyone willing to listen. Jo Ann spent her last days waiting to go to heaven with her Lord Jesus. Jo Ann would ask what the time was and when she would be going home to be with her Lord. It was such a blessing that she went into the arms of Jesus in her sleep, March 22, 2026, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield MO.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 30th at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, 2827 N Oakland Ave Decatur Il 62526. Graveside service to follow at Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL at 2:00 p.m.
Daughter of Jack E Harris and Issabell (Huckabee) Harris, Jo Ann graduated from Lakeview High School and married the love of her life Paul E. Durchholz at Central Christian Church on March 10, 1957. Jo Ann was a homemaker and stayed at home to raise her 3 girls.
Jo Ann leaves behind a family that loves and cherishes her, daughters Dian (Kory) Kaularich of Decatur IL, Paula (Mike) Hayn of Bolivar MO, Barbara Moretti of Indianapolis IN; Grandchildren, Quinn (Rachel) Miller of Indiana, Danielle (Arnold) Herrera of Texas, Caleb Moretti of Indianapolis IN, Devan (Bryson) Head of Springfield MO; great-grandchildren, Keagan, Eli and Tiffany Miller of Indiana, Camilan Herrera, of Texas; great-great grandchildren, Maverick Robinson, Maxx and Violet Head of Springfield MO.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her husband Paul Edward Durchholz, parents, grandsons Nicholas and Jacob Burnett, and sister Patricia Weaver. The remains of her sister Patrica A Weaver will also be laid to rest with her.
