Visitation: 6:00 PM on July 03, 2011 Funeral: 10:00 AM on July 05, 2011 Jewell A. Moffett, 92, of Decatur, died Thursday, June 30, 2011, in her residence. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M., Sunday evening, July 3, 2011, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Moffett was born September 7, 1918, in Decatur, the daughter of Raymond H. and Myrtle (Ross) Price. She married Raymond T. "Lefty" Moffett March 3, 1940, in Decatur. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Moffett had been employed by Herald and Review Newspaper and Millikin University, where she worked in Dean Huston's office and the Student Development office. She was a very active lifelong member at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. She worked on the Sunday bulletin, did volunteer work, played the piano, and did anything that needed to be done. Mrs. Moffett was also a 20 year member of the Decatur Pride softball boosters. She is survived by her sons: Lyle Moffett and wife Christina of Bloomington; Larry Moffett and wife Gayle of Decatur; sister: Eleanor Price Burnett of Oklahoma; grandchildren: Cheryl Moffett, David Moffett and wife Amy, Nathan Moffett and wife Sylvia, Stephen Moffett and wife Ashley, Lara Moffett Menard and husband Luke, Lindsey Ripke and husband Mike, and Ty Moffett; great grandchildren: Joshua Moffett and wife Tifney, Tyler, Trey, and Ella Moffett, Eliza Ripke, Drew Moffett, Adam Moffett, Rachel and Rebecca Moffett, and Alexander Moffett; step granddaughter: Brooke Farnsworth. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, will be handling the arrangements. "
