CUSTOM DEATH NOTICEJessie Lorene Shackelford, 80, of Cerro Gordo, IL., died on Saturday (10-11-08) at 8:05 A.M. in St. Marys Hospital.Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday (10-15-08) at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday (10-14-08) at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. and also one hour prior to service time. Burial will be at Cerro Gordo Cemetery, Cerro Gordo, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home are handling the arrangements.Memorials may be made to: Cerro Gordo Ambulance Service.Jessie was born on March 27, 1928 in Johnson City, IL., the daughter of Hallard Dorris and Theresa (Kraemer) Dorris. She married William H. Shackelford, M.D. on June 23, 1951 in West Frankfort, IL.Jessie was a member of Prairie Avenue Christian Church, Decatur, IL.She is survived by her husband of Cerro Gordo, IL.; three children: Lawrence H. Shackelford of Oakley, IL.; Kevin W. Shackelford and wife Terri of Memphis, Tenn.; Gesslyn Sue Engelhard of Houston, TX.; six grandchildren: Jacob Shackelford and wife Megan of Cerro Gordo, IL.; Jason Engelhard and Nathan Engelhard both of Houston, TX.; Brittany, Jessica, and Sidney Shackelford all of Memphis, TN.; one sister: Marilyn Lonhard of Chicago, IL.; one sister-in-law: Kathlyn Westlake and husband Orville of Tovey, IL.; one nephew Gwaine Dorris and wife Susan of West Frankfort, IL.She was preceded in death by her parents, twin sisters: Jeweldine Dorris and Geraldine Joplin. The family would like to give special thanks to St. Marys Hospital entire staff, Dr. Dearnbarger, Dr. Caceres, Dr. Collins, Sandy Brandenburg, entire staff at the Shackelford Clinic, Katrinka West, Donna and Charles Wiggle, Mary Jo Hammer, Carolyn Brown, Ginger Gisinger, and many others to numerous to name.
