Jessie Cottle Rowe, 101, of Decatur, IL, died 11:23 P.M., Monday, January 9, 2012, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 14, 2011, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Oreana, IL. Memorials may be made to Argenta Presbyterian Church. Jessie was born April 1, 1910, in Blue Mound, IL, the daughter of William and Naomi (Gouge) Cottle. She married Hanford Barrackmann Rowe on September 12, 1934 on the farm in Blue Mound, IL. Jessie was an officer and member of Argenta Presbyterian Church. She was a farm wife and homemaker, 4-H member, Charter member of Kiwanians, Charter member of Lady Land Owners, member of Home Extension for 50 years, and received the 2003 Macon County Volunteer of the year award. Jessie also enjoyed quilting in her home for 25 years. She is survived by her daughter Mary Frances Querrey; grandchildren Jill (Tim) Hawk, Judy A. Querrey, all of Decatur, IL; great grandchildren Chris (Julie) Hawk of Cerro Gordo, IL, Angie Hawk of Argenta, IL, Matt Hawk of Decatur, IL, Jon Hawk of Decatur, IL; great great grandchildren Ian Hawk and Grace Hawk, both of Cerro Gordo, IL; brother Gene (Gloria) Cottle of Decatur, IL; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Ruth, brother William, son-in-law Carroll, granddaughters Marlana & Mary Angela.
