Jesse Daniel "Dan" Anderson, 79, of Decatur, IL, died 10:15 A.M., Monday, September 5, 2011, at St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, IL. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M., Thursday, September 8, 2011, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Macon Cemetery, Macon, IL, following the services. Memorials may be made to Cancer Care Specialists of Central IL or American Heart Association. Dan was born October 16, 1931 in Decatur, IL. He married Joyce Wilking on September 7, 1952 in Macon, IL. Dan worked at P.P.G. Industries for 33 years as a glass cutter. The family attended Grace United Methodist Church. Dan was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War, and a member of P.P.G. Retirees Club. He is survived by his wife Joyce of Decatur, IL; son Stephen (Judith) Anderson of Fults, IL; daughter Carol (James) Morris of rural Beecher City, IL; grandchildren David C. (Melissa) Anderson, and J.D. Morris; great granddaughter Cecilia Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. "
