Jerry Todd

Dr. Jerry Lee Todd 77, of Decatur, passed away on Thursday evening, July 23, 2015, at St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by his family. A celebration of his life will be held from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 26, 2015, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur, IL. Jerry was born October 12, 1937, in Centralia, IL, to William F. and Marguerite (Simpkins) Todd . He married Judith Ann Stremmel and they had three children. She preceded him in death. He was later married to Sharon Adkins for 8 years and they had one son. Jerry served in the Air Force at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma. In 1966 he opened a dental practice in Decatur, IL and served the community for 38 years. During his five decades living in Decatur Jerry developed a large group of "Pallies" who were an important part of his life. He and his family have many great memories and stories from these friendships. Surviving are his children: Lynda Novey and her husband Paul of Fort Collins, CO, Steven Todd and his wife Robin of Mount Zion, IL, Gregory Todd and his wife Marcia of Bloomington, IL and Michael Todd and his wife Erika of St. Louis Park, MN. Surviving grandchildren: Marcus and Katherine Novey, Brian and Andrew Todd, Sarah, Scott, Kathryn and Nicholas Todd. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother William F. Todd Jr. The family expresses heartfelt gratitude for the loyal friendship of Jerry Atkins. "
