Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, August 10, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown.Jerry was born May 4, 1936, in Decatur, the son of Ora and Lena (Mills) Oyler. Jerry worked for Tru Temp, Longbons, King Lar, and Huston Patterson. He then went on to own and operate Jerry Oyler Heating and Air Conditioning. He was a Mason, a member of the Moose, and served on the City of Decatur HVAC Commission. Jerry was a Jack of all trades and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Surviving are his children Scott A. (Debbie) Oyler, Rhonda K. (Ron) Boomer, Brian L. (Pam) Oyler, all of Decatur, and Michael L. (Trisha) Oyler of Normal. Also surviving are his grandchildren Tiffany (Brad) Watts of St. Louis, MO, Jared Shafer, Stephanie Oyler, Brock Oyler, all of Decatur, Kate Oyler of Normal; great granddaughter Addyson Watts of St. Louis, MO; special friend Jody L. Cameron of Decatur; brothers Harold Oyler and Donald (Betty) Oyler, all of Decatur; and nephew Larry (Jean) Wadkins of Mt. Zion.Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and three brothers. Following services at Macon County Memorial Park, there will be food and drinks at the Belvidere Inn. "
