Jeri Hammel

Private family graveside services will be held at Point Pleasant Cemetery, Long Creek, Illinois. Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is assisting the family with the arrangements.Memorials may be made to the St. Louis Childrens Hospital.Jeri was born October 16, 1932, in Gays, IL, the daughter of David Dale and Juanita (Spaugh) McCulley. She married Clifford L. Cliff Hammel January 29, 1949. He preceded her in death. Jeri was a member of Water Street Christian Fellowship. Jeri is survived by her four daughters: Candy Ossowski and husband Johnny of West Plains, MO; Cindy Creason of Decatur; Tammy Lynch and husband Steve of Findley, IL; Shelly Faught and husband Tom of Long Creek, IL; grandchildren: Sesha Shonkwiler and husband Chris, Adam Creason and wife Jackalyn, Jamey Creason, Amber Jackson and husband T.J., Matthew Lynch, Lincoln Lynch and wife Kari, Dylan Lynch, Evin Faught, and Emily Faught; brother: Harold McCulley and wife Barbara of Decatur; eleven great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Jeri was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family.Our family would like to thank the staff at Heartland Healthcare, especially the Arcadia staff, for the care and compassion they showed Mom during her illness.
