Jeffrey Thomas

Jeffrey Leonard Thomas, 65, died Thursday November 20 after a long but valiant battle with diabetes. Jeff was born in Chicago on July 1, 1949 to the late Gloria and Robert Thomas. He graduated from Glenbrook South High School in Glenview IL and attended Lincoln Jr. College. In 1978 he married the love of his life, Susan Stein. They resided in Aurora IL, where they raised their three children. Jeff worked as a pressman and later was employed by Comcast as a supervisor until his retirement in 2007. He enjoyed military history, sports, music and was an animal lover. He moved to Decatur in 2008. Jeff was predeceased by his beloved wife Susan. He is survived by his children: Cassandra of Peoria, Cynthia of Decatur and Andrew of Springfield; granddaughters Summer and Peyton; sister Diane (Bill) Anderson of Whidbey Island, Washington; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
