Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 14, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, with visitation two hours prior to services. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur.Memorials may be made to Homeward Bound Pet Shelter.Jeannette was born on September 1, 1910, the daughter of John Franklin and Rose E. (Polk) Van Conia. She married Robert Lyle White on June 28, 1928, in Decatur. He preceded her in death on February 23, 1987.Jeannette previously worked as a charge nurse at Americana Nursing Home. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and was an avid Bridge player.Surviving are her daughters Beverly Brown of Decatur, IL and Jeannine Peters and husband Michael of Rockford, IL. Also surviving are grandchildren Dianne Shaw and husband Steve, Carreen Northway and husband Robert, Anne McDonald and husband Buddy, Rachel Howard and husband August, John Brown, Gregory Peters and wife Nicole, Kimberly Walter and husband Brent, and Michele Cumberland and husband Troy; 8 great grandchildren; and faithful feline companion Missy Rose.Jeannette was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son-in-law Dee Brown.The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. James M. Bock and his office staff for the care and compassion given to Jeannette. "
