Jeanette Daugherty

Jeanette Lee Daugherty, 78, of Clinton, IL, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016, at her residence. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 12, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL and one hour prior to services on Friday, May 13, at Clinton United Methodist Church, 308 E. Main, Clinton, IL. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 13, at Clinton United Methodist Church, Clinton, IL. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL. Memorials may be made to: Clinton United Methodist Church, Arthritis Foundation, or American Heart Association. Jeanette was born June 30, 1937, in Decatur, IL, daughter of Lester E. and Freida A. (Toole) Gordy. She married Peter A. Daugherty on November 17, 1956, in Decatur. Jeanette retired in 1996 as a deputy clerk from the DeWitt County Circuit Clerk’s office. She also worked for several years in the business offices of John Warner Hospital and the local H& R Block. Surviving are her husband of 59 years: Pete of Clinton, IL; three sons: Timothy A. (Terrie) of Wapella, IL, Jeffrey A. (Kim) of Heyworth, IL, and Jonathan (Katie) of Gifford, IL; six grandchildren: Bradley, Chelsea and Janelle Daugherty, Mindy, Abbey and Ted Kerrn; two great-grandchildren: Margaret and Joshua Kerrn; and one brother: Ron A. Gordy of Lafayette, IN. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents and brother Jack L. Gordy. "
