Jean Garver

W. Jean Garver, 76, of Oakley, IL passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital, Decatur, IL. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Sunday, December 23, 2018, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with public visitation 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, December 22, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery, Cerro Gordo, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital and HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital. Jean was born February 14, 1942 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Eugene and Charolette Felter. She married Paul Duane Garver on December 8, 1962 in Casner, IL. Jean was a caregiver for her grandchildren and children of family and friends who love her very much. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Duane; son Jeff Garver; daughter Lisa Boyd; grandsons Colton, Jacob, Matthew; great grandson Hunter; siblings Wayne Felter and wife Brenda, John Robert Felter and wife Chris, Cindy Hendricks and husband Mike. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family wishes to thank all of the staff at St. Mary’s, with special thanks to RN’s Sarah, Cinda and Rebecca.
