Jay Durflinger

Jay E. Durflinger went to be with our God All Mighty on March 17, 2016 at 7:21 p.m. A Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 9, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Long Point Cemetery, Niantic, IL. Inquiries may be directed to William Clennon. Jay was surrounded by William Clennon and his close family member's from Kohl's: Sue Hall, Samantha Angell, Kara Angell, Kayla Thomas, Rachel Thomas, Roberta Wallace. He had many friends that were shocked by his sudden passing. Jay was born May 24, 1977. He worked at Kohl's in the Decatur/Forsyth area for a few years, after he no longer could drive a semi over the road. Jay earned his Class A CDL at Richland Community College under the guidance of Bill Bender, and worked as a sub-contractor with two trucking firms at A.D.M., driving local from east plant to west plant. Jay loved all varieties of animals; snakes, hedgehog's, geko's, and fish. He completed some college years in the great state of Florida. His mother, Lois Durflinger preceded him in death. He will be loved, honored and truly missed by the ones that stood by him. THANK YOU VERY MUCH to all the staff at Decatur Memorial Hospital on the fifth floor. All the staff gets a pat on the back and a hug from William Clennon. Thank you to the ICU nurses and doctors, McKinley Court, and Kim Jordan for taking care of this humble man.
