Janice Hohm

Janice Louise Hohm, 83, of Decatur, IL, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at The Loft in Decatur, IL. Memorial service and burial will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 20, 2021, at Willwood Burial Park in Rockford, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, will be assisting the family with arrangements. Janice was born December 2, 1937 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Harry Benjamin and Ruth May (Franklin) Thompson. She married Robert Hohm on August 4, 1956 in Rockford, IL. Janice had many jobs throughout her lifetime from Industrial Sales to several medical office positions in hospitals and clinics in Rockford, IL, Corpus Christi, TX and Barron, WI. Janice accepted Jesus when she was ten years old. She was involved in churches all her life, teaching and singing, with the last two being Liberty in the Spirit in Rockford, IL and Harvest Christian in Decatur, IL. Janice loved family and church get togethers, swimming, lions, and thoroughly enjoyed the big television her sons gave her for Christmas. Janice is survived by her sons Timothy James Hohm and wife Ginger of El Sobrante, CA, Stephen Charles Hohm and wife Linda of Decatur, Terry Lee Hohm of Decatur; grandchildren William Earle, T.J. Hohm, Christopher Hohm, Jordan Hohm, Michael Hohm, Andrew Hohm, Brian Hohm; 5 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; sister Dorothy “Dot” Grover and husband Dale of Rockford, IL; brother Charles “Chuck” Thompson and wife Shirley of Stillman Valley, IL; and many nieces and nephews. Janice was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Cindy Ella Earle.
