Janet Tempel

Janet Tempel, 93, of Decatur, IL, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Lincolnshire Place. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association. Janet was born June 27, 1925 in Decatur, IL, daughter of Amenzo James and Bernice Helena (Martin) Walker. She married Edwin Eugene Tempel on October 3, 1942 in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death on August 14, 2006. Janet was a member of Oreana Christian Church. Janet is survived by her son: Andrew James (Sharon) Tempel of Decatur, IL; six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Michael Eugene Tempel and daughter Mary Alice Feeney.
