Jane Zimmerman

Jane E. Zimmerman, 91, of Niantic, died Saturday, April 20, 2019, in Springfield, Illinois. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 24, at Resurrection Parish, Illiopolis, with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Illiopolis. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to Resurrection Parish, Illiopolis. Jane was born December 14, 1927, in Chicago, the daughter of Hugh and Ella (Morgan) Taggart. Jane married John H. “Jack” Zimmerman, Sr. in Springfield on October 2, 1954. He preceded her in death on August 30, 2017. Jane was a member of Resurrection Parish in Illiopolis and The Altar Society. She was also a volunteer for the Good Samaritan Inn for many years. She is survived by her children, John “Jack” Zimmerman, Jr. and wife Sharon of Traverse City, MI, and Hugh Zimmerman and wife Sally of Springfield, IL; grandchildren, Kyle, Jeff, and Kelsey Zimmerman, Megan Keppler and husband Jeff, and Jenny Watts and husband Derek; 12 great grandchildren. Jane was preceded in death by her parents.
