Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 5, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation 6-8 p.m., Friday, January 4, at the funeral home. Masonic rites will be at 8:00 p.m., Friday, following the visitation. Burial will be in North Fork Cemetery, Decatur, with military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. Jim was born March 8, 1922, to John Thomas and Lucinda Jane (Roy) Wilson, in Somerset, KY. He married Lucille Redmond on November 1, 1947.Jim was a WWII Veteran serving in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany and France from 1941-1943. He was a Mason for over 50 years, a Shriner for over 20 years, and a previous Moose member. He retired from L.E. Myers Construction Company.Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Lucille, of Decatur, daughters Geneva and husband Joe Bailey of Georgetown, KY; Vicki L. Mathias of Elwin, IL; Connie J. and husband Mike Albert of Decatur, IL; and son Michael; grandchildren Jay and wife Tracy of Decatur, IL; Gena Otus of Belmont, CA; Chad and wife Stephanie of Waterman, IL; Craig Wilson of Decatur, IL; Jason Crutcher of Park Forest, IL; Huston and Cody Mathias of Elwin, IL; great grandchildren Ryan and Jacob Albert of Decatur, IL; Jackson Velez of Belmont, CA; and his loyal dog Rusty.He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother.The family wishes to express a grateful Thank You to the nurses and staff of Decatur Rehabilitation Health Care Center and DMH Hospice.
