James Trolia

August 6, 1929 — February 7, 2008

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am. Monday, February 11, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Visitation will be 2-5 pm, Sunday, February 10, with a prayer service at 1:45 pm, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery with military rites by the Macon County Honor Guard.Memorials may be made to the Decatur Humane Society. Jim was born August 6, 1929 in Decatur and lived there all his life. He attended St. Patrick's School from kindergarten thru eighth grade and St. Teresa High School after that, graduating in the class of 1947. He also attended Millikin University for a time. He was inducted into the U.S. Army and served in the Korean conflict from 1951 - 1953. Jim married Lena (Lee) Zandonai on July 23, 1955 in St. Patrick's Catholic Church. They celebrated 52 years of marriage together. They had two children, Thomas Michael and Tina Marie. Jim was employed at MII, Inc. in Lincoln, IL for twenty five years. He is survived by wife, Lee, daughter Tina Voelker (Dave),two grandsons, Nick and Sam, and two granddogs. Those preceding him in death were his parents, Vic and Nora Trolia, one brother Thomas Norton and son, Tom Trolia. Jim will be remembered as a soft-spoken gentleman and will be sadly missed by his beloved family and many friends. Condolences may be left to the family at brintlingerandearl.com "
