Heinz, 80, of Decatur, IL passed away Friday, December 22, 2017, at his residenceGraveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, will be handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church or donor’s choice.Jim was born February 21, 1937 in Decatur, IL, the son of Max G. and Lora “Pat” (Patterson) Heinz. Jim was a member of First Christian Church. For 62 years, he was a member of Local #65, working as a plumber/pipefitter. He is survived by his wife Mary Ann (Plankenhorn) of 59 years; daughter Annette (George) Brichacek of Carol Stream, IL; son Phillip (Rhonda) Heinz of Pekin, IL; grandchildren Elizabeth (Nate) DeYoung, Katherine Brichacek, Meredith (Jeremy) Reiman; great grandchildren Evelyn and Jameson DeYoung.He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Jonette Van Lear.
