Memorial services will be 3:00 P.M., Saturday, October 17, 2009, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation two hours prior to service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital.Thom was born April 16, 1940, in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, the son of James Earl and Virgie L. (Jenkins) Hamilton. He married Nancy Rebecca Smiley on February 15, 1985 in Tuscola, IL.Thom was owner of JaHam Manufacturing in Heman, IL. He enjoyed trap shooting, hunting, woodworking, and being with his family. Thom was a diehard Chicago Cubs fan.He is survived by his wife Nancy of Latham, IL; children Cheri Reed of Argenta, IL, Darrell Hamilton of Decatur, IL, Penny Fitch of Decatur, IL, Lori Logan of Decatur,IL, Cindy (Eric) Trentz of Warrensburg, IL, Shelley Hackney of Latham, IL; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; sister Louise Cooper of McAlester, OK and Earline (Howard) Bourne of Warrensburg, IL.He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ruben, Forrest, Bill, Charlie, Merle, sisters Virginia Scott and Bernice Trump.
