James Goodbrake

James Darrell Goodbrake, Sr., 68, of Oreana, IL., passed away at 1:27 A.M. on Saturday (12-08-2012). Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Wednesday (12-12-2012) at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, with visitation Tuesday (12-11-2012) from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the James Darrell Goodbrake, Sr. Fund. James was born on April 27, 1944 in Decatur, IL., the son of John C. Goodbrake and Virginia (Rollinger) Goodbrake. He married Deborah McCoy on March 21, 1979 in Decatur, IL. James was a retired painter and retired from A.D.M. He enjoyed fishing, puzzles and wrestling. He was a Cardinal Fan and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Deborah of Oreana, IL.; children: Angela Crawford and husband Bryan of Thompsonville, IL., Angel Ryan and husband Steven of Oreana, IL., Cynthia Curran and special friend Bill of Oreana, IL., Tiffany Howard and husband Jason of Oreana, IL., Adam Goodbrake and wife Rachel of Urbana, IL.; grandchildren: Trent, Kayla, Jereth, Payton, Elliott, Brandon, Dylan, Zachary, Garrett, Nickolas, Jacob and Emma; brothers: Ronald Goodbrake of Texas, John Goodbrake and wife Betty of Decatur, IL., Dale Goodbrake and wife Sandy of Arkansas; one sister: Mary Lou Eckart and husband Doc of Decatur, IL.; step-sisters: Dorothy Burnett and husband James of Oklahoma and Rose Crane and husband John of Sullivan, IL.; step-brother: Bobby Rollinger of Decatur, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson Dakota, two step-sisters Helen Pullins and Sarah Burroughs. The family would like to give special thanks to D.M.H.
