James Denney

Memorial services will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL.James was born December 23, 1941, in Bethesda, KY, the son of Roy Estil and Ruby Evelyn Denney. He married Judith Ann (Calhoun) on March 2, 1973 in Springfield, IL.James worked for the Decatur Park District in maintenance, formerly Fairies Park Golf Course. He loved listening to Chet Atkins music and playing electric guitar. James enjoyed his 1960 BMW motorcycle and his T-29 Conair airplane that he loved to fly. He was a former member of Grace United Methodist Church and was a born again Christian. James was a U.S. Navy Seabee veteran, serving in Morocco.He is survived by his wife Judith of Decatur; sister Judi Curry (John) of Decatur, IL; niece Kimberly Parent (Doug) of San Antonio, TX.He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Robert E. Denney. "
