Visitation and funeral mass will be held Tuesday, February 17, 20026 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 AM, with the funeral following. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur, IL.
Jaden Reneé Stine was born on November 15, 1997, in Decatur, IL, to Dawn Renee Stine (Jones). Jaden was born with an extremely rare neurodevelopmental disorder called Temtamy-like Syndrome. At the time, she was the fifth person in the nation to be diagnosed with the disorder. Despite doctors saying Jaden would never live a full life, walk, or live past the ages of 3, 7, or 12, Jaden proved them all wrong. Jaden learned to walk, experienced a long and great life, and lived well past many life expectancies. Jaden was a fighter and fought until her last breath.
Jaden enjoyed many things in her life. She loved to play with handheld massagers; she would put it against her ear and a hard surface. You would think a jackhammer was going off somewhere in the house if you heard it. She also loved playing with broom bristles, zip-ties, cooling racks, straws, spoons, and most definitely her swings. If anything had a unique texture or if Jaden could put it in her mouth, she would. She also enjoyed tearing up Jaren's school books and homework. One time, Jaren had to tell one of her teachers that her sister had eaten her homework. Instead of “a dog ate my homework”, it was “My sister ate my homework!” Jaden always had a funny personality. She lit up every room she entered.
Jaden graduated from MacArthur High School in 2019, something Dawn was very proud of Jaden for accomplishing. Jaden was also a parishioner at Holy Family Catholic Church.
Jaden is survived by her sisters Jaren Maldonado (Jacob), Decatur, and Cabela Stine, Maroa. Brothers: Camron Stine, Maroa, Shannon James Stine, Decatur, Kenneth Stine (Natoshia), Latham. Niece and nephew, Elle Maldonado and Leo Maldonado. Grandparents Greg and Sue Penderghest, Decatur. Aunt Connie Grider, Grayslake. Uncle Scott "Truck" Wilkins, Decatur. Step-Mother Ashley Stubblefield (Don), Maroa. Also, many cousins and close friends who are like family to Jaden.
Preceded in death by her mother, maternal grandparents Floyd and Betty of Decatur, Aunt Jodi Wilkins of Decatur, and Uncle Donald Grider of Gurnee.
Jaden was welcomed into the hands of her Lord and Savior, and she will be forever missed in this lifetime. She is happier and healthier than ever with her mommy, hand in hand. She will never feel any pain or sadness again.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith" (2 Timothy 4:7)
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Jaren Maldonado to fulfill Jaden’s final expenses
